Legal ceremony on a different day?
Many couples sign the legal paperwork at a register office and hold their main celebration on another day. Each policy covers one ceremony and one reception, and the reception must be within 30 days of the ceremony. Insure the day where most of your money is spent, usually the celebration, and choose it as your ceremony when you get a quote.
If your celebrant can’t make it
If your officiant doesn’t turn up and no replacement can be found, that’s one of the covered reasons for cancellation or rearrangement under Section 1.

Common questions
We’re already married. Can we insure our vow renewal?
Yes. Renewal of vows is one of the ceremony types we cover.
Our ceremony is in a garden with a friend officiating. Is that covered?
Yes, non-legal ceremonies are covered. Your venue and supplier arrangements still need written contracts for any claim.
Can we cover both our register office ceremony and our celebration?
One policy covers one ceremony and one reception. Contact us at customer@wedprotect.com if you need to discuss your plans.
